Our growth has led to a need for both a Youth Worker and a Children and Young Families Worker. We are currently looking for either two people to cover each of these roles on a part time basis or one person who could cover both remits on a full-time basis.

 

Youth Worker, Part-Time (0.6), 3 days a week

If so, you will be interested in our exciting new role at Epsom Baptist Church.

Epsom Baptist Church is a thriving medium-sized evangelical church based in Epsom Town centre.  We are a close family church spanning a wide diversity of cultures and ages including around 50 children and young people.

We would like to appoint someone with a passion for Youth Work and previous experience in a Youth Worker role. We have a committed team of volunteer youth workers in the church and are looking for someone who could take the strategic lead for this work.

Salary would be commensurate with experience and agreed with potential candidates.  Salary range FTE is £23,00-£26,000, pro rata £13,800-£15,600.

The job offer will be subject to receipt of successful references and Enhanced DBS check.  There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a Christian.

 

Children and Young Families Worker, Part-Time (0.6), 3 days a week

We would ideally like to appoint someone with experience in a similar role who could take a strategic lead for this work within the church. However, we would also be open to recruiting someone with less experience but with a passion for working with children and a desire to learn and develop. We could provide some mentoring support to this kind of candidate.

Salary would be commensurate with experience and agreed with potential candidates.  Salary range FTE is £23,00-£26,000, pro rata £13,800-£15,600.
